TRUST YOUR SINCERE NATURE
Now I know something about you and I’m now telling you what I know about you. You’re in torment. You want to call that a synonym for being unhappy, for feeling weak and helpless? That’s all right, too. But I know that you have an enormous amount of throbbing pain, and I also know that up until now you have flatly refused to do the right thing with it, which is to understand it.
You’ve fallen in love with the solutions surrounding you. They are not around you; they are in you and no place else. Ah, this is why if you have one human hero in this life you get rid of him. You put him out of your mind. If you have one mechanical, repetitious belief of what is going to make you feel right, you get rid of that, too.
What has prevented it among other things is an accumulation of suggestions from the outside. Lost people tell you how to be saved. Sick people tell you how to be healthy and you take that suggestion or guidance and you’re just as unhealthy as they are! And you heard me just say that you don’t need anyone outside of your own sincere nature in order to get where you belong.
WALK AWAY FROM PAIN
What bothered you inside you today? Are you willing to do something different and see through the hoax? If so, then you have to take spiritual action, which means walking away from what you've protected so foolishly — the cave of pain. You are going to, any time during your day, break the emotional stabbing that you felt inside. You are going to interrupt it and say in a spiritual voice, “I don't want to associate with you anymore and with the help of Truth itself, I'm not going to.”
