     Here are four important things to know about receiving Vernon Howard's SECRETS OF LIFE Daily Quotes by e-mail:
     1. WE CANNOT RESEND DAILY QUOTES, but they are all available — see Item 2, WEB AVAILABILITY

3. SUBSCRIBING, UNSUBSCRIBING, and CHANGING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS:
         See the procedures below.
     4. TROUBLESHOOTING E-MAIL PROBLEMS (no Daily Quotes or multiple Daily Quotes):

     Problems receiving the Daily Quotes need to be resolved by eliminating  the possible causes in a series of steps that you take. Those steps will cover problems whether they originate with your e-mail account or your e-mail provider, an Internet outage, or with our mailing list provider  receiving or distributing the quotes. Over the past 7 years, all  problems encountered have been with individual e-mail accounts or with e-mail providers.

SUBSCRIBING, UNSUBSCRIBING, and CHANGING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS:

     Instructions are given at the end of each daily message that you receive. These changes are accomplished using your e-mail account. These same changes can also be made at the New Life Foundation website: http://www.anewlife.org/html/daily_quote/html

     In the case of CHANGING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS, it's a 2 step process using the web page above:
          1) SUBSCRIBE to your new e-mail address and then,
          2) UNSUBSCRIBE from your old e-mail address.

     E-MAIL PROBLEM 1 — NO DAILY QUOTES

SOLUTION - FOLLOW THESE 4 STEPS:

     STEP 1.  CONFIRM THAT TODAY'S DAILY QUOTE HAS BEEN SENT OUT:
          A. Check the Vernon Howard's SECRETS OF LIFE (R) archives at http://archive.mail-list.com/secretsolife/ to see if today's
              quote has been sent.

     NOTE: This address is on every Daily Quote, and it is also at the Daily Quote link at the New Life website:
http://www.anewlife.org/html/daily_quote/html

IMPORTANT:

     1) If the Archives Website is not available, assume the Daily Quote has NOT been sent out — so try STEP 1 later.
    2) Although infrequent, be aware that even if the Daily Quote is shown  as having been sent problems on the Internet could delay
or prevent delivery.

     B. If the today's Daily Quote has been sent out go to STEP 2:

     STEP 2.  CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE ON THE SECRETS OF LIFE MAILING LIST:
          A. SUBSCRIBE for the Daily Quotes  (see above).
     1) If you are already on the list you will get an e-mail back indicating that. Go to STEP 3.
     2) If you are NOT on the List you will get an e-mail back for you to  confirm being put on the List. After you confirm being put on
the List,  wait until the next day and start at STEP 1, if necessary.

IMPORTANT:

    Your e-mail address is dropped from the Secrets of Life List if your  e-mail provider does not accept it for 3 consecutive days.
The Secrets of Life mail service makes repeated attempts each day to send your Daily Quote.
     B. If you are on the Secrets Of Life List go to STEP 3:

     STEP 3.  CONFIRM THAT YOUR INDIVIDUAL E-MAIL ACCOUNT IS NOT PREVENTING YOU FROM SEEING OR GETTING THE DAILY QUOTE:
     A. Your e-mail software settings could be the problem:
          1) SPAM: your settings are routing it to another folder — e.g., Bulk Mail, OR blocking it totally.
          2) MAIL FORWARDING: forwarding to/from this account to/from another e-mail account is set incorrectly.
     B. If your e-mail account is handling the Daily Quote correctly go to STEP 4:

     STEP 4. RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR E-MAIL PROVIDER. OUR SECRETS OF LIFE MAILING LIST PROVIDER CAN
HELP.
          Send an e-mail about your problem to: listmaster@mail-list.com
          You will find a person there who will provide you with information to give to your e-mail provider.

     NOTE THAT:
          1) Your e-mail provider may have a delay on any given day in getting e-mail to your account. Normally, the Daily Quote will
arrive at your e-mail  provider within 1 to 2 hours after it appears on the Secrets of Life  Archive website.
          2) “In their zeal to stop spam, many organizations and companies are blocking the delivery of wanted messages, especially
those sent through e-mail lists.”
